It's all picturesque. When I was a kid I read "All creatures Great and Small" before it ever was on the TV. There is a section where the vet goes out to visit a grumpy old farmer in the hills and look after some animal in distress. James the vet was overtaken by the beauty of the views and said so to the farmer. His brusque comment that the view was maybe beautiful, but the view wasn't sustaining in any way. The crucial point.
