"I have talked to foreign policy experts in Washington, D.C. and Israel today and they are using adjectives like “bizarre,” “inexplicable,” “counterproductive,” and “outrageous” to describe ..."

Anyone who thinks it is inexplicable is too stupid to have a national voice. It is completely explicable - it is what Obama is all about. Why do you think he dumps on the UK - think Kenya!

Inexplicable - nonsense - totally about what Obama is!

This over-reaction from the Obama administration seems to have been prepared beforehand and only wanted an opportunity.

The Obama administration's Mideast policy has been an abject failure. So they've decided to try blaming it all on Israel, following their usual pattern of appeasing enemies and getting tough with friends. They don't seem to have noticed that once again, they picked Jerusalem as an issue, instead of some illegal West Bank outpost (maybe they don't understand the difference). Ramat Shlomo is a neighborhood in the center of Jerusalem, already heavily Jewish, that is slated to stay Israeli on anybody's map. Not even Bibi's worst domestic enemies are going to fail to back him up on this one. All Obama will do is convince every single person in Israel that he hates Israel.

A more competent administration might have used this kerfluffle to browbeat the Israelis AND tell the Palestinians to sit down and talk, we've softened them up for you; but of course Obama let the Pals run away from talks again. According to the invaluable Khalid Abu Toameh of the Jpost, they are now euphoric, believing that Obama will get them everything (or at least major concessions) for nothing. There will be no talks this year, but I expect to see Fatah order up some major riots.
