Gold is in a secular bull market, consolidating gains since
December 2009, when it got extremely overbought. Since
the top happened in late November/early December last year,
there is a chance it will run to new high into late May,
then consolidate again during Summer. Such unusual runs
off-season (gold season is between August and March) happened
before, but there are no guarantees it will happen again.
Act accordingly. Personally, I just have a core in that bull,
and I don't trade it at this time. -g-

"gold has proved it can hold its own in a rising dollar environment, any change in that trend may prove explosive.

"If dollar gold prices manage to hold up under the prior circumstances, how are they going to perform when the U.S. dollar is back under pressure again?" said Klapwijk of GFMS."
