This double and triple dipping is really bad in the Federal Government/Military. They use to have a law that Military retirees could not retire into the job they had as a Military person. With the Iraq war they changed that. Now you would not believe how many retired LTCs and COLs have written their job descriptions and go from one day being in the military to the next day being a GS 13, 14 or 15.....In addition I say triple dipping because they all know how to get a Veteran Disablility that is anywhere from 60% to 100% and yet still hold a job as a GS 14 or 15. The sad thing is, the actual wounded low ranking soldiers are being screwed over and forced out, but I would love to see the statistics on how many retired officers and high up enlisted have disabilities over 60% and collect tax free disabilities on top of retirement, GS 14 pay and next the VA payment....all at government tax payer,s expense. Don't get me wrong, I have no problem with retired Military getting retirement pay, but the military complex is at work with them having 3 sources of income and lots of others out of jobs and no souce of income.
