'underfunded' is an excuse for mal-investment....

what do you want? well compensated QUALIFIED teachers? or expensive gym equipment? in an ideal world you could have both...but we don't live in an ideal world, so realistic choices must be made

for example.....i have wondered why on earth we have to give up 'phys ed' because it is too expensive?

childhood obesity is rampant.... yet we have fully equipped gymnasiums and playgrounds....but there is no $$$ apparently to pay for supervision??

when i was a kid, the teachers rotated 'playground duty' and we had a SINGLE gym teacher....what happened? priced the gym teachers out of the market?

I remember in the 60's complaining that a ballplayer earns
a million a year and a teacher gets 40k. Who would've thought
the same argument lives on.
