John,

You bring back memories of college.

1. Learning to use a slide rule on a Greyhound Bus ride from Cincinnati to Cleveland one night. It was a long ride and I needed all of the time. I remember to this day when my wife's brother walked in one night after graduation and asked me to show him how to use a slide rule - lol - I remembered the lonely bus ride!

2. Coming face to face with failure as a freshman initially in over his head.

Yup - I looked into the abyss and refused to fall. I had little sympathy with the party boys who flunked out.

Fortunately after my freshman year I academically caught up and did fine.

Ah - but I digress!
