All is well though says the Fed Fools:

CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools Superintendent Peter Gorman said he's moving forward with a plan to lay off 841 employees, including more than 580 teachers.

Board member Richard McElrath is against the plan, though, and has an alternative idea: district-wide pay cuts.

CMS projected it could save $30 million with the following pay cuts: 8 percent for employees making between $48,000 and $69,000; 12 percent for employees making between $70,000 and $99,000; and 15 percent for employees making $100,000 or more.

District leaders said they will look into pay cuts for people making between $25,000 and $47,000.

Can't even find money for education anymore. Education and schools in Iraq or some other shithole yes billions, but here? No way. Where is the stimulus money going? Thought Obama was all for better education and funding to the public schools? WTF?
