I'm reading this and can't put it down. It seems the venerable Socrates was falsely charged on two counts by the greg or e(s) of his day. The false charges were politically expedient to prosecute for other reasons and the noble man met his death. The hemlock was actually purchased by friends to ease his passing.

I can honestly say this is one of the best books I have ever read lately...
