Re: "say the health care pipe dream, you support that?" A big, big, complicated bill with LOTS of different moving parts and different polices contained in it. And, just like President Bush's plan for the invasion of Iraq (which I came to but NARROWLY SUPPORT, believing that the potential benefits just barely out-weighed the likely costs) I just barely support the bill that is emerging right now. There are many things I oppose that are in the bill, and many things that I support, but unfortunately it is the ONLY GAME LEFT IN TOWN, and continuation of the status quo would have even WORSE DOWNSIDE to it then this bill. So... a very NARROW 'thumbs up' (just like Bush's plans for the war only got a narrow "thumbs up' from me). And the full HOPE and EXPECTATION that this bill will just be the start of our national reform effort (long over-due!) in health care... and the bill will be amended and patched and improved and fixed for many years yet to come. (In the end producing a more efficient and better national health care policies then the losing trend that we are now on....)
