Jim: It can be abit confusing.....here's from Donner Oct 29/97. ********************************************************************** Diamond drilling within the Northern Gabbro Area has been carried out in three main areas: ú Seven holes are completed or drilling in the western part of the Donner / NDT / Latitude joint venture and on adjoining ground owned 100% by Donner. The initial holes in this area were drilled as stratigraphic holes to test the thickness of the layered intrusion. Subsequent holes were drilled to test parts of a large gravity anomaly associated with the junction of a possible feeder system with the main body of layered gabbro. Anomalous but subeconomic metal values are present associated with intervals of disseminated sulphides and local narrow sections of massive sulphides. More significantly, the layered intrusion reaches a thickness of more than 400 metres confirming proximity to a possible feeder system, a favourable site for significant nickel-copper sulphide mineralization. Drilling in this area continues. ú A series of 14 holes has been drilled in the northeastern part of the Donner / NDT / Latitude joint venture, the southern part of the Donner / Major General joint venture and on adjoining ground which is part of the Donner / Thistle Creek joint venture. This series of holes was drilled to test a gossan zone at the base of the layered intrusion on the Donner / NDT joint venture and to investigate geophysical anomalies in the south central part of the Donner / Major General joint venture. The drill holes in this area were generally shallow and intersected the basal contact of the intrusion at depths of between 50 and 200 metres. Narrow intervals of disseminated sulfides and massive sulfides were intersected and returned anomalous but subeconomic copper-nickel values. Additional targets in this area will require drilling in the future. *************************** And from NDT November 3, 1997 Press Release........ *************************** A significant part of the mineralized gabbro-gneiss contact occurs along the western side of Project 79 where anomalous Ni-Cu-Co values are ubiquitous. Over the past several months, Teck/Donner have drilled four holes (DDH 97-57, 59,63, and 73) near the eastern edge of the gravity high on Project 79. All four holes intersected significant sulphides with thicknesses up to 15 metres. These sulphides are enriched in base metals with values up to 0.59% Ni, 0.52% Cu and 0.10% Co. Teck/Donner have also drilled three holes (DDH 97-55, 58, and 60) in the northeast quadrant of Project 79 to test the basal mineralized gabbro in this area. A one mgal gravity anomaly and a series of Max Min electromagnetic anomalies also occur in this area. Disseminated sulphide mineralization up to 16 metres in thickness has been intersected in all holes with base metal values up to 4660 ppm Ni, 2460 ppm Cu and 1330 ppm Co. The Company is highly encouraged with these very significant results and looks forward to further positive results from Project 79 within the South Voisey's Bay Project. ********************************************************************** OK, so they did do four holes 97-57, 59, 63 & 73 along the eastern EDGE of the North-west corner and also drilled three holes 97-55, 58 & 60 in the northeast corner of project 79. Donners' release never mentioned the Northwest, just Northeast corner of NDT's property. Whew.......No wonder I got confused Jim! I stand corrected on past drilling but NDT IR said they are heading back to the North-West corner where they expect more of the good stuff. Good Luck, Ron.
