Panel 6 in the ABB tutorial below shows N.A. asynchronous interconnects: ercot.com The rest of the presentation isn't too shabby either, though hardly comprehensive. I've not come across anything as comprehensive, and at the same time generic, as the optical tutorial your referred to. A source that I find useful is Transmission & Distribution World's search function: tdworld.com A search on HVDC yields 366 hits. I'll keep an eye out from something more in line with your need. The one's I've seen assume mastery of IEEE and IEC standards. I'm sure something more friendly exists however. ------
