I think you need to check the last date that mutual funds can sell for taxloss purposes, this is I think actually prior to 31 Dec (which is for individual investors only I believe). I think the bottoming takes place in maybe mid-late November, but I'm not sure.

Amazing the flurry on this thread when there's big action up or down and how quiet it gets when nothing much is happening.
