Arnie,

I think capacity and range are two different topics. You are right saying that the 800 mhz band has more range than, say the 1200-1500 mhz (where the new PCS are coming out). This is pure physics from what I remember from my high school physics (long time ago). Continuous versus non-continuous is purely a matter of how and for what purpose you allocate frequency (space) in the spectrum (real estate) you own. Again, this is from a nontechie to another non-techie. Any (more tech) opinions are welcome.

Arnie - will pull the report & give the exact quotation. There is every chance that I didn't describe it correctly.
