Lots of people in the USA (like my father) take early retirement under Social Security at age 62.

Still the earliest age is still 63 and only to enable younger workers to take the position. But the retirement age is still over 65 years old to my understanding. The concept is to lower unemployment within the younger workforce I tried to read the law (PDF page) but as usual with laws it is quite complicated for the incidental reader Für Jahrgänge bis 1951 (einschließlich) gibt es weiterhin die „Altersrente wegen Arbeitslosigkeit“ oder Altersteilzeit.
