From an engineering standpoint, it would make more sense to put the city on floats than to keep the water from coming in. Everything now there would probably have to go.


Eventually New Orleans will be underwater permanently.

True. It'll be hard to maintain flood control systems for an entire city below sea level after we've become a Banana Republic.
