US recalls 1.2 million baby chairs. It's no Spoof. No Onion!

Graco High Chair Recall 2010 Another Dangerous Baby Furniture Risk

Graco High Chair Recall 2010 Another Dangerous Baby Furniture Risk. There have been many recalls in recent months centering around things we buy for our most precious and tender individuals. This time, Graco has recalled 1.2 million high chairs due to a potential fall risk.

The point of a high chair is to secure a baby somewhere for them to eat without having to worry about them falling.

According to the government release, the issues surrounding the high chairs center around the following issue: “screws holding the front legs of the high chair can loosen and fall out” causing the high chair to tip over unexpectedly. So far, the safety issue is responsible for over 24 injuries, ranging from simple bumps and bruises to hairline fractures to the arm.

Still yet, a high chair that tips over could really seriously hurt an infant if they land on a hard surface or hit something on their way down.

The chairs affected by the recall are noted by Harmony TM. This line is no longer in production, and Graco is “disappointed” with the performance of their product. They are “confident” that they have come up with a solution to make their product safer.

A statement released by the company reads “We take great pride in the quality and safety of our products, and as such, we are disappointed with the performance of the Harmony High Chair.”

If you have a Harmony High Chair, stop using it immediately because of a fall risk.
