One indication is that for generations children typically prospered more than their parents. That's no longer true. It is possible to bleed the system dry.

How long will it take the Left to totally destroy it?

Totally?

Charlie, an ex father in law came here from Italy in 1920. About the same time two of his brothers split for Argentina, then a pretty good choice.

Despite FDR and his legacy, Charlie built a good life and prospered. His brothers and their families, not so much. Last I heard they got along, simply accepted their condition, their environment, as the natural order of things.

Now we're well along the way to an Argentine parallel. There'll be a lot of sniveling and whining, but most will simply accept whatever comes along.

Most of our neighbors have no idea how the engines of prosperity work. Or don't.

This country is the greatest societal engine that has ever been built. How long will it take the Left to totally destroy it?

With legislation like what the House is about to have passed the rate will accelerate rapidly. It could be in the next twenty years. Just look at Argentina.
