But my point is that individual buyers would grow to be the majority of the market. Companies could still subsidize the individual if they chose to, like today, but the individual wouldn't be locked into a limited group plan.

You can't expect a tiny portion of the marketplace (individual buyers) to reform a mass market. It would be tail wagging the dog; just doesn't work.

That is why you are probably happy with your socialized house. After all millions of consumers could never efficiently buy houses without either employers or government organizing the market for them.

Do you have any idea how ridiculous your argument sounds?
