For months the Justice Department had been refusing to identify seven politically-appointed attorneys who previously represented or advocated for terror suspects.

Two observations:

1. If they're 'patriots,' why not identify them?
2. If they were recruited as government appointees in the Department of Justice, their potentially divided loyalties are of interest and should be disclosed. They can continue to be 'patriots' in the private sector and on the dime of like-minded individuals, but having accepted public employment, the public is entitled to a full airing of their backgrounds and potentially conflicting loyalties.
