"We have that capability" We had. Now we're bankrupt. I think it's too late to fix That's ridiculous... The rest of the world is in the same predicament that we are. Europe especially.. They just do a better job of covering it up. What NEEDS to be done is to focus on mortgaging our future to GROW THIS ECONOMY, to make the pie larger, not just divide it up. Nothing wrong with debt THAT YIELDS A RETURN ON INVESTMENT. That's where I have so much grief with the recent stimulus package. It did VERY LITTLE to induce economic growth in the US economy... It just provided band-aids and financial cover-ups. But stimulus money spent on researching productivity gains, and value added technologies is money well spent. Especially when the private sector is hunkered down and afraid to take business risk. Hawk
