Yeah, that's the one, thanks Mq. Near universal access to a huge mainframe via dumb terminals vs. transferring intelligence to the periphery, by using ever faster and smarter computers. These days I would have to connect my laptop to one single big mainframe somewhere.... except that we probably wouldn't have too many laptops. We would be still booking flights and looking up phone numbers on our dumb terminals... until the government would make a strategic decision and make a trillion dollar investment in "reforming" the system.
