Can anyone comment on the Yahoo article quoting (but not naming) a senior intel official as saying company is begining to see effects of Asian currency crisis.

biz.yahoo.com

Is intel trying to send a message about upcoming Q?
Is quote in error - it does not name officer and I see no official release from intel?

P.S. - for intel worrywarts - it looks like intel and many tech stocks are returning to normal seasonal patterns. If so we generally see yearly lows around now (generally a good time to buy) and yearly highs in summer (a good time for profit taking) - those who try to measure each daily move (beside traders) will be frustrated because these moves take months not days. In the interim I've been writing out of the $ calls (for November, and will most likely do the same for Dec. after the Novembers expire, will hold off on Jan in the event earnings are good).

all imho,

Gary
