As I said, we can choose to not ensure our farmers are connected to broadband and the free market response will be their eventual bankruptcy. That is a legitimate course of action. We can also ensure that our inner cities and our poor people don't have access to broadband, which essentially will ensure that they never have a chance to rise above their lot in life. You may have forgotten, but what makes this country great and our economy vibrant is that class mobility is alive and well. Destroy that and you've essentially destroyed the ability for this country to renew itself and we move ever closer to an oligarchy as more money and power is concentrated in the hands of the few at the top.
