Haim, the Greek situation is perhaps interesting because it's a potential domino initiation event. Iceland wasn't enough to do it. Maybe Greece will be.

While it's true that California is much bigger and in plenty of trouble, it's just part of the federal USA system, so the curiosity about Greece is how it will affect the federal Euroserf system. Will Germany, Britain, France and the rest topple in a row of dominoes? Or will Greece be cut off and left to sort out their mess?

Also, Greece is interesting because of the huge history of the place. Plus it's a nice place to live with a great climate. Not to mention being the front against Islamic Jihad [though the Balkans have them surrounded to the north.
