Unfortunately anyone who supports/supported this bill or anything like it, simply won't listen to Karl Rove. Apparently facts and logic aren't the issue, its the person making the statements about facts or logic thats the issue. It doesn't even have to be as polarizing of figure as Rove. It it was Greg Mankiw they would say "he worked for Bush", if it was some writer for Reason magazine it would be "there a bunch of libertarians, of course they are going to be against it". Of course both sides do it, but that doesn't make it any better. (BTW - That comment doesn't apply to Lane. I've never seen her rely on ad-hominem.)
