I am becoming more socialist every day when it comes to medical care. Huey Long and one of my relatives named Dr. Arthur Vidrine established one of the best state wide health plans in the nation in the 1930s. We still have socialized medicine in La. where all citizens can get the benefits of modern medicine. Long was, of course, opposed by the super rich, the ignorant, the selfish mammonites, and the large corporations. The super rich just hate to see poor Americans getting the same medical care that they get. They feel that they are superior and deserve better. Those of us who have significant wealth always have excellent health care while we watch the majority of our poor fellow citizens suffer without proper health care.
