The Republican leadership needs to have a serious "What have we wrought?" internal discussion, now that they have seen where following the Tea Party route gets them. It's a long time until November, and the healthcare plan will be way back in the collective news cycle memory by then. My guess is in addition to the jobs bill, Reps will want to be seen to get something done on immigration and financial reform, so they aren't running from behind on all those issues this fall.
