As you know, I wanted single payer- I like the UK system, but this is a start, and I'm for it- and I think the American people will like it. It will be hard, I think, for reps to campaign against dems on the basis of this bill. Covering kids on their parents' insurance? You want to campaign against that? Caps and pre-existing conditions- you want to campaign against ameliorating the corrosive effects of those things? I hope the republicans remain the party of "no"- because if they do I think they will remain the party of "out"- out of power, that is.

So what does it mean.. This cannot be side tracked now in any shape or form ?

Democrats finally showed some back bone ? Even though public option was no longer part of the package..
