That's not what's going to happen, GZ. The future of most of your care will be in the hands of a paraprofessional or a physician extender. Most likely a nurse practitioner or a physician's assistant who is supposedly working under the "direct supervision" of a physician. That's because doctors are expensive and few are willing to do this with a 20% cut at already break-even rates. Some people here think that this only pay cut applies to Medicare reimbursement. As most people in medicine will tell you -- what begins in Medicare is followed up by private insurance. It's already happening now, to some limited extent, at most speciality physician's offices, Walmarts, "rapid care" or "urgent care" strip mall offices, and some large drug stores. Prepare for that to be massively expanded and the supervision requirement dropped to a minimum. That means your, mine, and your love ones' care will essentially be in the hands of someone who did a two year stint at some community college with two additional years of practical training at some hospital or office somewhere. We now have debilitatingly scary medical mistakes that kill 250K people a year in the U.S. Obama applauds this as this helps the overpopulation of people who consume too much and aren't blueblooded and as smart as him (cough, lol). The goal is obiously to kill through mistakes and mistreatment and poor care 3M a year for starters....makes sense to me...I'm not a eugenicist, but makes sense if I were one.
