Ted, Obama basically spent all of his political capital on this bill. I think you will find you are wrong on that one. Success begets success. He can now go after some easier marks. Now he has to pray that the economy will drastically improve so that the costs are covered. Markets are up today, but UNH is down as I expected. Down very little.....the bill won't destroy the UNHs and WLPs....just keep them in their place. The markets are up because they know there is a good president at the helm. Wall St. types will never admit it but they know the truth. Bush was a jackass and Obama is on his way to brilliance! The media is saying that Greece's debt is still a cause for worry, but it's funny how our exploding deficit and tax burdens aren't a concern. Even Social Security is now costing more than it takes in, but no one noticed. Obama will deal with our debt....all in good time. I'm playing with fire here, going long on the market. First smart thing you've said all day. <g> Obama, Obama, Obama...........

Reid has said he'll take up single payor "soon", which I take to mean "immediately" (since he won't be there after November). They've seen they can corrupt the legislative process with ease and they're going to try to do it time and again between now and year end. This could be a fascist regime in the making. If they can figure out a way to get him reelected -- with popular support -- that will give them 8 years to consolidate power. This is the object of the Union payoffs. He'd have the black vote no matter what. Bin Laden is the answer. If he could catch bin Laden -- or even claim to have killed him -- that would give him a lot of political power. It is a dangerous time for our nation.
