”Thanks for heads up, but I don't care who owns/shorts/sells/buys the stock. That's their decision possibly due to a number of factors not affecting me ...... This is another place where I disagree with your checklist.”

Well, the stock is up 8% to 10% in 6 days. But that’s not really all there is to it. Based on the current, factual, fundamental information available, the company is not in bad shape. If some relevant information becomes available, from which one can make an informed decision, then I could understand one selling, or buying.

If folk want to base their investment decisions on what a hedge fund does, they may want to consider the fact that not many of them can even beat the general performance of a major market index on a regular basis, especially after they’ve collected their “management” fees.

No doubt you’ve done your own DD with regard to the company, which prompted you to invest in it (I assume you’ve gone long and Not short !).
From what you’ve seen of this company with regard to its fundamentals etc.., can you think of, or see, any reason why it should be so heavily shorted ?
