I was going to say in Bush's first term they had it all and proved that they are no more fiscally prudent then the Democrats or drunken sailors on leave.

Here's the deal. If you believe the polls, the republicans could not invent an better issue with which to wrench power back. If they cannot, or worse will not, exploit this advantage to take power in November, then it is time to find a new home outside the US.

If they take power in Nov and don't bring up a repeal bill for Obama to veto every 6 months, ditto.

If the republicans are not willing to do what is in their own power interests then they will finally have revealed themselves to be partners with the democrats in the project to enslavement the US.

It would be impossible to fight against such an alliance. I am sympathetic to those who have already concluded that this is the case right now.
