i don't knock history, but my experience of technical anaysis is that it holds up best when the market as a whole is not being tugged by huge non events. by the way you should know that I sold 100% of my amat at 100 exactly, because i was afraid that the SEA currency situation would cause a global mini crash. I bought back at 40 (early) 31 and am playing Nov 37.5 calls. i guess what i'm saying is that in looking at history one has to discriminate between the events and the incidents.
