There was no mention of weighting the results. Heck, there was even mention of asking the respondents any demographic questions, let alone if the original 25,000 were sampled correctly.

And, like I mentioned to Bill, the chances of 1,300 self-selected responses out of 25,000 being representative in any meaningful way are almost non-existent. When considering the representative factors that would go into such a 'retire early because of a health bill' decision (personal, professional, economic, and political), the chances decrease even more.

The fact that some polls actually achieve their margin of error of plus or minus 3-5% is a strong testament to their methodology. But, in today's political environment, they have a strong factor working in their favor - the polarization of the two parties.
