"I'm confident mot Americans will quickly demand immediate alternatives to the existing for-profit insurers."

And where will Americans go for change?

98% against TARP = passed anyway

majority against Obamacare = passes anyway

>>Most Americans believe the popular myth that for-profit health insurers are able to provide the lowest premiums.<<

that's the propaganda put out by... the for profit insurers.

most americans aren't going to fight main stream media propaganda put forth by the elites. we agree.

>>Far lower premiums than charged by the entirely non-profit medical insurers do in nations like Switzerland, currently about half the amount of our premiums.<<

how does that relate to this bill being a god thing?

>>If American's belief in one of our most popular myths proves to be misplaced, and our insurance premiums don't tumble, I'm confident mot Americans will quickly demand immediate alternatives to the existing for-profit insurers.<<

my view is the government works for the insurance companies and not the people. in short, they don't care what the people demand (got 99-1 against banker bailouts?) and you start to see why they are militarizing our police.

>>Americans are fairly pragmatic in that way. We eventually choose the best option available, even if it contradicts stories we were taught as children.<<

the credit bubble popping changed the dynamic. we aren't in kansas anymore - the bankers that bribed our government to save them from bankruptcy will soon enough fight to put us into bankruptcy.

then they will rule us.

i hope you are right, but we did nothing as they gutted our economy, as they gutted our balance sheet, as they stole $23.7 trillion and told us to pound sand when we asked where it went.

got american idol?
