Sam,
Give us your opinion on where is a good buy point for AMD. I am
looking for a good point to jump back in so where do you think the
bottom will be?

<<I wish there would be more technical people here talking about stock price and making money instead of arguing about Intel and AMD all the time.>>

Here is my shot at it. Stock seems to oscillate from 23-25, except when the market crashed it tanked to mid 19. I believe AMD will head up slowly from here because:

1) AMD will show off their 300MHz K6 on 100MHz board with the AGP chipset at Comdex. They may show off their K6-3D.

2) Looks like AMD will ship 2M K6 Q4.

3) Rumor has it that they fixed the 233 speed grade.

4) With 2) and 3) AMD will make some money in Q4. 233 part is still selling at hefty $220 and with the speed fixed the 233 should generate a bulk of the CPU reveue.

5) Looks like from previous post that Compaq will adopt K6 as a step child to their Presario series.

6) AMD will introduce the 266 and 300-K6.

The key here is AMD must show some money in Q4 earnings. That will bring the investors' confidence back and the stock should climb.
