I think they'll let you "retro" coverage based on the way COBRA is currently handled. If someone is terminated from their job, then lands in the hospital they can still enroll in COBRA up to 30 days after the termination....with coverage retroactive to the term date. Since that's a Federal beast as well, I figgered they'd prolly do this the same way.
