<<<<They are increasingly looking like fools and whiners.>>>

They are on the wrong side of history.

We are not that stupid. If they can show us a better system, a better way of providing health care, we will accept it. But, we are not just going to take their word for it. They have to show us an example of what they have in mind. Pointing to Atlas Shrugged will not cut it.

If they don't like universal healthcare, they still have the freedom to go someplace that does not provide it. There are plenty of places to choose from. They could move to India, China, and most places in Africa - with the exception of maybe South Africa.

Needless to say, for the time being alternatives do not look all that promising.

Odd I had the same thought today. Strategically the Republicans could have headed this off with a more manageable program years ago.

Not to be outdone by Bush with his unfunded medicare improvements, the democrats gave us something generations will be struggling with.

Good thing we have found a way to reduce the % of GDP going to healthcare.

Either way if taxable income is the measure, Obamacare may have me retired much earlier. My wife and I can live much cheaper than we do and we can live off a few % returns on my IRA. I can always count on subsidies.
