Apart from the key importance of America having a modern healthcare policy, this exercise showed Obama what he has to do, and how he has to commit his political capital to get important things done. He is at his best when it comes to focusing on a goal and sticking with it until it's done, using his passion but keeping his cool too. I hope we get a decent immigration reform deal done next.
