DM, you spoke of 3com's mfg'ing effiecieny, but their business processes are alittle weak. They recently hired some systems people who worked at cpq to help with some problems they had on the business side. whcih is more important...optimizing the factory floor where they make maybe 8-15 an hr. or the fat cats over on the business side that make the 50-100k a yr. that's why cpq make 80k profit per employee and 3com isn't close... can't comment on equipment since I don't know what pieces you are talking about. cpq does talk yeilds in the 200 DPPM. and first pass that is superior. I'm in the supply chain og cpq and we are expected to get to 50 DPPM
