It's too hard on my need to maintain the fiction of the nobility of the human species.

You have much higher aspirations than I do. Looking at the right side of the electorate, I see a potential muddle that will make the Democrats in Congress look disciplined, unified and organized. We have the Tea Party hate-everything-and-everyone-crowd, the culture war evangelicals feeling left out, the tax-cutting bunch and the let's-invade-someone-else-soon bunch, all trying to hang together with very weak national leaders and a mangy dog pound of possible 2012 candidates.

Notice that I don't even mention what would have once been called moderate Republicans, they only exist for target practice by the faithful now.

Wouldn't want to be any of them myself. If they don't get their act together, they aren't going to sustain their possibly brief blip up among swing voters.

<<<The Contract from America serves as a clarion call for those who recognize the importance of free market principles, limited government, >>>>

It is less than a year and a half after the financial systems around the world nearly totally collapsed, are there still people calling for less financial regulations?
