Like I said: ALL KNOWLEDGE is imperfect. Everyone understands that. In the context of our discussion its a meaningless point. The fact that all knowledge is imperfect, is not a defense of this particular claim of knowledge. We humans do the best we can by availing ourselves of the best tools we can. Flipping a coin and saying "heads it will increase the deficit, tails it will cut it", might be a better tool than this CBO analysis. All I know is that you CANNOT replace a rigorous and formal econometrics analysis with mere VAPORS. If the rigorous and formal analysis is crap, vapors are better. A measure that's gamed by the creators of the bill for political purposes is perhaps worse than nothing, and at the very least can not be relied on. It should have very little weight in the discussion.
