"The real problem soon will be what to do with the 3-5% who won't bend to the yoke. Hard to look like a big bunch of humanitarians and appear progressive when you start having to shoot those who refuse your mandated outcomes?"

I expect the enforcement of these laws to be every bit as strict, comprehensive and effective as our SEC is in protecting investors and the INS and Border Patrol protect us from illegal aliens.

It's EASY to make laws.

It'll wind up being like traffic scofflaws, deadbeat dads and other people who are eventually forced to live on the fringes of society. These people basically fall off the grid until they get pulled over. If the cop feels like filling out paper work he can drag the dude down to the station. If they're in a good mood they can let it slide. It's another opportunity for law enforcement to exercise selective enforcement against unpopular groups or unpleasant individuals.

<<"That's a scary thought...

And what about the self-employed traders, like myself?...

Are they going to force people that are self-employed to sign up and pay for health insurance?...

I'm in my mid-50's and am in very good health...I hate doctors, and the industry they are in...I'm into holistic health, and have always gone for the natural remedies to health issues...I was raised as a Christian Scientist, and we don't believe in taking pills produced by modern science...

Most of the medicines the pharma companies produce are nothing more than poison IMO...The side effects are often worse than the ailment they are used to treat...

So basically, I refuse to pay for treatments I wouldn't normally even think of using...My concern is that will try to force me to pay for something I'll probably never use, and I also fear they could fine me or put me in jail for my beliefs...">>

RESISTANCE IS FUTILE!

YOU MUST SUBMIT!

>>“Climate legislation is the single best opportunity we have to create jobs, reduce pollution and stop sending billions overseas for foreign oil from countries that would do us harm.”<<

pretty much all lies, although it may end up reducing pollution by a bit over what it would be without the tax.

the reason the super rich banker/corporate elites want cap and trade is that it kills off competition for their businesses.

you see, they will get their current output as a credit - they won't have to pay for it. any other potential competitor, OTOH, will have to pony up $100 million in order to compete - which is impossible. nobody can cover that bogey.

once their monopolies are locked in, they raise prices and continue on with their long term societal asset stripping plan they've been employing for decades.

i believe france created "green" jobs and the cost was $700k per job and the loss of 2.2 regular jobs. of course, the worker only saw a fraction of that $700k spent on the job - and the corporate/banking elites pocketed the rest and set aside a little cash in order to bribe politicians to pass more of their bills that elites write behind closed doors and the politicians don't even bother to read (they aren't paid off to actually read the bill, just to pass it).

yes, gas companies want this bill, too. yes, gas usage will drop a bit relative to what it used to be, but that will be more than offset by price increases that these newly enshrined, state sanctioned monopolies will impose.

who wouldn't like more money for less work?

of course, these uber bankers and mega corporate controllers appeal to emotion and the sense of doing good to save the earth in order to continue their ongoing assets stripping operations.

oh, did i mention the IMF wants to start collecting taxes to the tune of $100 billion to "sabe us?"

folks, it is time to grow up and wake up. the real terrorists, the ones who do the most damage in the world, reside on wall street and they own our government, lock, stock and barrel.

we have to follow andrew jackson and root out these vipers.

we can only do this together... we have to *TAKE ACTION*!
