It isn't the only gun.

Or to phrase the analogy a different way, it isn't the only useful weapon in this fight. If its a gun, (non-econometric) analysis of the basic structural flaws, of the analysis might be the long range missile strike that takes out all the gun wielders. Evidence from the relevant history of similar analysis might be the heavy body armor that allows you to shrug off bullets and get to hand to hand range...

Econometric analysis is just one tool, and often one that does't work very well. It can reasonably be disputed without providing your own econometric analysis.

I could post some such analysis, but the sources would probably be attacked (not that something's wrong just because of who says it, but a lot of people think that way), and more to the point it would suffer from some of the same problems that the CBO analysis does (but not the static analysis fault)
