As anticipated - Poor Auction, New 5-Year Tsy of $42.00 billion in five-year notes Yields 2.605%

1702 GMT [Dow Jones] Treasury's five-year note came in at a yield of 2.605%, compared with the 2.569% just before the 1 p.m. ET auction.

Bid-to-cover ratio 2.55 vs 2.75 in Feb and 2.8 in Jan.
The average is 2.74 from the past four auctions.

it is interesting that Portugal is downgraded to AA- at a time that the US has almost double the budget deficit as part of the GDP.

To put things in perspective in absolute terms, - US budget deficit $1,750 billion
Portugal around 15.6 billion

But the speculators think the US is just fine - amazing

EU is celebrating orders are rolling in as their products are 10 cheaper and part of this goes down to the bottom line
