If you're in a car accident, don't you expect the ER to take care of you?

Whether you have your credit card with you or not?

There is a difference in the laws - your doctor is not required to take care of you in his office,
but ......
he is required by law to take care of you if you enter the hospital through the emergency room.

So, if you have abdominal pain, or an eye infection, or chest pain, and you come to the emergency room,
believe me - some doctor is going to take care of you, whether you can pay for it or not

You see, that's the way medical care is provided to millions of people around the US, especially those
who can't afford to buy insurance.

The patients know it, and the insurance companies know it.
