all my stupid young life i was in awe of washington politicians. i imagined they must be very smart to hold high office. surely, in their wisdom, they would do the 'right thing'. now i hear the same BS, but i can instantly see it for what it is. now i see that with very few exceptions, politicians are incredibly stupid. they don't see the long term consequences of their actions (and even that is giving them the benefit of the doubt). "let me be perfectly clear" i've got olympic like training on the mute button. he usually doesn't get past "let me.."
