It may just be my imagination but it seems that cane sugar is making a comeback, at least in the areas other than high sugar drinks. That observation might just be a result of habits formed from a conscious decision to avoid foods that contain high fructose corn syrup. That stuff does nasty things to the body. Worse than Saccharin, which is no longer even considered bad. That study where Saccharin caused cancer in mice was because the "scientists" were giving the mice massive doses (for their size) of Saccharin each day. The doses were so large that the mice's bladders couldn't handle the sodium. Feed a person 5 pounds of salt every day and watch what happens. It doesn't mean salt is unhealthy.

70% of crops grown in U.S. are corn and soybeans, too big to fail.

the whole corn subsidy is a major driver, too. the idea you can buy a double cheeseburger (with all the embedded manufacturing and transportation cost) fro less than you can buy a stock of broccoli is insane.

corn is bad in more than minimal amounts because it has a high glycemic index and elevates insulin. in addition, corn/soy/vegetable oil is bad because omega 6s are used by the body to produce pro-inflammatory eicosanoids (type of hormone).

elevated insulin is the smoking gun between obesity and chronic disease. insulin is a storage hormone (leads to weight gain) and also drives an enzyme, delta-5-desaturase, that combines omega 6s to drive cellular inflammation that ultimately results in chronic disease states.

your TG/HDL ratio provides a decent estimate of your insulin levels - it should be around 1. 4+ usually means you have an active chronic disease like diabetes.

if the financial elites will lie to go to war (gulf of tonkin) and kill 58k americans as they make billions, why would they cut their "life line" to their big pharma and insurance profits?

<<"If the government was serious about health care "reform" they would immediately end the government's subsidy of corn-- high fructose corn syrup is killing Americans with obesity, high triglycerides, diabetes, etc.">>

When you understand and come to accept the fact that the elite puppetmasters are proponents of depopulation on a worldwide basis...

...a lot more things start to make sense nowadays.
