Ted, that column starts with a logical fallacy and continues from there.

Clinton didn't invent prosperity any more than Al Gore invented the Internet.


Actually, you are the one who is in denial about the logic behind the supposition. Its true that presidents can not singlehandedly turn the economy around but they have a lot of influence. And come this fall, if this economy is not improving, who do you think Rs will blame?

Of course, if raising taxes is the key to economic growth, then let's see how the economy takes off after Bush's tax cuts expire.

Given whose president, I anticipate a major boom. ;-)
