Hi John, I've been watching for market reaction from the AEA convention - I was told to expect a short delay for analyst's return to the office etc.

There is a concensus that we won't see stock in the 8's much longer, and that events in progress and operational status are such that only market conditions or another correction will keep us in single digits.

I spoke today with the 2nd and 3rd industry veterans who told me that Valence has more upside potential than any they have seen before in their careers! The 1st is returning from the convention.

Regards, FMK

John - Kept an eye on the trading yesterday.

There was a seller perched on 9 all day. That may have limited immediate response to AEA. I suppose we can expect to contend with such nuisances all the way up! (Based on today's follow-up action, I think there are still some short term traders mucking up the system. I hope these gnats will be silenced in short order.)

-T- I too am concerned about a buyout limiting this company's potential. But I take comfort in my reading of Reed as one of the most hard-nosed CEO's around. And, Shugart built Seagate. As Fred indicates, these guys have paid some major dues on this enterprise and I don't think they're about to turn it loose without an equally major reward.

Fred - Many thanks, as always, for the updates from the industry folks.
